I called Fern's after having trouble with our air conditioner lines freezing up. Alex was able to provide a service call within 24 hours. After determining it wasn't a small fix, he explained our options and provided pricing to either replace our coil or replace the entire air conditioner. We opted for an entire new AC and set an installation appointment within 5 days (huge heat wave made a faster install difficult). We then contacted a few other companies to see if they could provide us prices to compare. Each of the other companies were substantially higher in pricing and were insistant that we get a larger unit to replace the one we had, explaining that as our home was large and being south facing, we would need a 3 ton unit (not a 2.5 ton unit as Alex had suggested) to enable us to cool our home effectively. We then contacted Alex to ask if he thought we needed a larger unit. He disagreed, saying that the 2.5 ton would be more than sufficient and we would not notice any difference, other than a higher price, in the cooling of our home. The day of installation, the crew showed up on time, were very polite and courteous and completed the work quite quickly, leaving the work areas clean and neat as if nothing ever happened. We would not consider using any other company in dealing with our heating/cooling system. The price was the lowest of all the companies and the honesty in not trying to upsell us to something we did not need was greatly appreciated. Thank you Alex and crew for all your help.

I’ve been using Fern’s for all my HVAC needs since 2021 and have had nothing but positive experiences. In my previous home I had a full AC/furnace/hot water tank replacement. In my current home he has managed to fixed a seemingly broken AC and hot water tank. Alex is always quick to arrive, assess and resolve the issue. Having a solid go-to like Fern’s has been extremely helpful and I couldn’t recommend them enough.
